Hello. It would be nice to have alveo for tablet. What do you think?

Absolutely agree. A web-based platform would be great too.

AccuseSelfFirst

They offer the VPS wich is like Alveo on the cloud, which would be internet based...for a fee if course but i will definstly get in when funded

treetopflier156

Agree, I travel a lot, so it would be nice to be able to pull out my tablet or phone to make trades, or check on the ones I have in play.

jamesfr

There is an APP ,I have it on my Iphone, you can check and close trades but bizarrely you can't open any

zubinmistry77

Alveo should be on smart phones soon, WE should be with pace with te world of trading

What I learned is that VPS is giving MAC OS platform access to trading with Alveo which is a WIndows based trading platform. Windows based computers can also use VPS. The big advantage I can see is that the trading client is running in the cloud where the Alveo servers are. Therefore the execution and response time will be shorter for the trades placed over the VPS sessions. It is worth exploring this option once funded or when you travel for long time in places where the internet connection is not so good.

I've had great success using Alveo on a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with keyboard. With a Wifi hotspot on my phone, Alveo works anywhere a mobile data connection is available.

JayTea

Anyone utilize RDP or similar? I'm looking for a mobile solution as well.

I trust the Alveo gurus are on top of this. I have just recently joined Apiary and I have 9 am - 5 pm job (based in Scotland, UK) as would be the case for several. I have been able to place a couple trial trades/ orders on Alveo at night, but I am unable to manage or close out my position during day time if things start to go against me whilst at work.

Sure would be nice to trade on a tablet or phone, I agree. The next best thing is a mini laptop computer right next to my bed to check on trades during the night.

Hi guys

I have some information for you. If you go to the apiaryfund.com, go to software tab you can download the app to your Android devices. You can't open trades or make SL or TP changes. But you can monitor and close positions.

Secondly, If you have a windows based laptop like I have you can download the platform and trade like you would on your desktop.

Orock

most of you here have this info.------ " i believe the idea is mobile away from home or office."

but some do not,

for free mobile phone app to check on beeline , trades on,and able to close them https://apiaryfund.com/software/mobile

Apiary VPS for a fee https://apiaryfund.com/software/vps ---then here you can open trades as long you are on internet.

suggestions by priority in development at Alveo https://apiaryfund.com/software/development

hope this helps

VPS for trading on your tablet, but the Apiary Fund app allows you to manage your trades.

If you use a Mac you can install Windows using Parallels. They provide Parallels Access which gives you remote access to your desktop. Ergo you can get to your Alveo setup on your desktop remotely from the browser, whether on an iPad or a laptop.

If you don't have a Mac, you could probably try TeamViewer. I actually use TeamViewer so I can use my Mac laptop to get to my desktop computer, or tablet, wherever I might be running Alveo. I'm almost certain you could use this remotely (as in, away from the house) I just haven't done it yet.

my work take me on the road all day long, luckily i get home every night. it would be great to have Alveo on a phone or a tablet so i could fallow the trade all day long. for know i had to rely on overnight or daily trading using the anti-martingale strategy with a very good success, but i feel uncomfortable not checking the progress all day long

Rookie

you can use ALveo on an Iphone/smartphone for that purpose Steve Perry talks about it all the time and recommends various apps to use to help out the Apiary traders in the pursuit of pips. You might email Steve or call/email support for my smart phone info. I think its Todd that uses a Samsung extensively also.

I setup a VPS through google. So I just use Remote desktop on my iPad to trade in Alveo. It's also nice becaseu I never have to shut Alveo down and I can access ut using Remote Desktop on my work computer or Mac laptop at home.

Peace,
Greg

I just recently started using the app TeamViewer. It's a free app that I found for Android but they may have one for Mac as well. It's takes a little while to get use to but it allows me to access my home computer while on my mobile phone. Once there I can pretty much do anything that I could do while at home. I have two monitors and it allows me to switch between monitors. It's pretty self-explanatory and it's gives me the peace of mind knowing I can open or close a trade if I want to. Hope this helps you.

that would be a fantastic idea. It would only have to be wifi because the indicators would consume a lot of data

pipsqueak18

Teamviewer is a great idea! I use it for work all the time. Nice way around needing a laptop. Hopefully they will update the mobile app soon so we can trade from phones/tablets.

mike.hoang.berkeley

So far I see the app for apiary, but I can only check the status of the trade, but can't trade itself

Rookie

@mike.hoang.berkeley, I believe you will need another app to log into your PC and do the dead from there.

A lot of Apiary traders use a VPS, see JF's thread.

good idea,will have to try.

tshaun46

Thanks seekwku for the info on TeemViewer for Android. Glad it's free. Going to try it.

Ditto on the thanks to seewku for the TeamViewer app idea!

sulaykasilva

Agree.

seekwku

You're all welcome. We got to find ways to save money until we learn how to make money, lol.

czgriffin

Thanks for all the suggestions for trading on a Mac.

@seekwku

Thanks for the info on Teamviewer. I just tried it and it worked great. This will be very useful if I have multiple positions, but just want to close one trade instead of the app closing all of them.

richardp

Yes I think it would be nice if alveo work on all tablet and phones device.

This thread is a bit aged, but I would also like to see a mobile app to open trades. I drive a truck for a living, and I generally can trade a little at night, but trying to go through a virtual server with mobile data lags, and is difficult to manipulate through my android phone. A Web-based option may help some of us, but a mobile version of Alveo would really be nice for me. I tend to have to try to find a good entry, take profit, and stop loss, and hope the market comes around to my way of thinking to enter most trades, because I can't sit and wait for a likely looking entry for an instant entry point. I could catch a few more if I had a mobile app to take a look at in my down time.

I do hope we see a mobile app in the near future. I have no problems with the mobile MT4 platform. I can find an entry I like, do a market order, and then fill in my TP and SL after I'm in the trade.

It would also be nice to convert the Adobe flash video formats to either Vimeo or Youtube, or private server video links. My phone doesn't like those videos, so many times when I could be continuing training with my mobile, I have to wait until I can turn on my laptop again at the end of the driving day. Is it just me and my phone, or is everyone having this issue with those videos?

Hopefully this doesn't sound too much like complaining. I'm very excited to be here and to learn how to trade from knowledgeable people. These are just a couple of the challenges I have personally with the system. I'd like to see it a little more convenient for guys like me who are trying to make serious changes in life. I'd like to be home with my family instead of driving a truck for the rest of my life, but nothing I'm qualified to do pays more than what I'm doing right now. I have hope that this is the place for me to make that change and push forward to a life that allows me to spend more time doing what I love.

Best wishes, y'all!

fadgee

I drive for a living so the app would be good. It doesn’t seem to be available in the uk. Can anyone give me some information on this. Thanks

chanthienrim

Have app and mobile phone would make trading a convenient task, wholeheartedly agree

chanthienrim

Which devise is best for the app to operate on, Android or Ipad

TheCoder

I am using Alveo on my windows surface pro tablet and it is working very well!

davejaber100

I heard, the first quarter of 2020. There will be a web-based platform. And you can use it on your tablet, phone.
