can not trade until your orders are completely loaded

   I can not place orders . Why / I keep getting the message  . ........can not trade until your orders are completely loaded . These are market orders . What is wrong ???

Happens frequently lately

... mostly at very volatile times. Take care to never put on too much risk, so you don't feel any anger, emotions or frustrations.

And then it will get back to normal again.

I had many trades not taken out at those times ... but looking at the overall picture, that was not the real issue/reason when I had a losing day.

I was only placing a .01 size odrer so that is not it . It is 1:49 EDT . Sent a message to support . Meanwhile I can place no trades .

You don't need to send an email to support ... this happens around 10 times a trading day to me.

Unless you have orders open and you panic about them.

I hope this will get under control soon again.

I just don't think it will change for the moment by just bombarding support with emails. They know this, I'm sure. It's been an issue for longer time.

Meanwhile, I've turned this issue into my favor.

I know I can't put in too many trades, because at any moment, I could get a 'trading disabled' or 'unable to load orders'.

So, I don't put in too many orders.

Works well together with your risk management ;-)

Yes, but I have no trades ! This has not happened to me before . I can not even enter 1 trade at .01 . Makes no sense !

Doesn't matter whether 0.01 or 1 lot ... the liquidity provider is not available to process any order, or show your orders ... at that time.

Just trying to tell you to not get too emotional about it.

It's a technology problem, you can't change it.

But you can learn how to deal with it.

It's intermittent, it comes and goes.

How to deal with it?

Don't put too much risk on, so that you don't get stressed. It's mostly back to normal after 5 min or something.

It also seems to be a difference in geo, different servers ... I see ppl posting that issue, where I don't see it.

When I see or have it, even during the Trading Room, no one else got it.

Sorry, if you are a member since 2014 ... then you MUST have seen this a hundred times!!

1.5/2 years ago, we had this going on much much worse ... often for 24 hours.

Have great trades, and take it easy ;-) Don't get stressed.

Close your app ...restart computer ... at least try that. Sometimes it helps.

If not only to get over the time to sit there and get frustrated ;-)

its just the volatility of the market. i had the same thing yesterday. Just use it to your advantage as a warning signal to slow down. Remember its steady as she goes right?

oadereti, however, this time it sounds like a local computer/laptop issue, with a local Alveo installation.

i.e. if Alveo has been open for too long ... strange things happen in the background.

A restart and opening a fresh instance of Alveo solves the problem. Sounds like a local platform issue.

Oadereti : For me I resolved the issue by restarting my computer. The long term solution is a VPS . I have not done that yet .

Google provides a good trial program without much sign up hassle to try.

Amazon asks you to go through a ton of security processes ...

... find the right balance/cost for you and test around.

With 'Apiary Cloud App", I meant the future planned Alveo platform, which we can access with a web browser (or thin client).

VPS is a different solution we can chose now. Just a private server on the Internet, in the i.e. Amazon, Google, MS cloud etc.
Apiary also offers one, but I never have used it, so can't tell about it.

Also have had a lot of Alveo issues the past few days, frustrating especially if you wobble your way out of a strong leg up and when price comes to your TP and Alveo is just downloading order data.

The secret is not to let is get to you, unlike me who had to wobble again and completely lost my cool and you can guess what happened. :-( another lesson learned

Ps I suspect there is internet issues all over the world I tested my ping and speed to different servers across the world and some of the results were shocking in some cases a ping of 5000ms

I'm no expert but I think there might be something wacky with the servers at or close to what Apiary is using. I am trying to download the Alveo beta version and I get the amazing download speed of 3KB/S

Just did a speedtest and ping test from my home (South Africa ) to the Sprint server in Washington and I get 6Mb/s and a 279ms ping. Not brilliant but better than a download at 3KB/S LOL

I opened a ticket with support a couple of weeks ago because i would get the cannot trade until orders are completely loaded message about once every 3-4 minutes. Whenever order flow rate would increase, such as around S/R levels, I would get the message. I am not an IT expert, but I do have some knowledge and I believe it is a network bandwidth constriction issue. In other words, too much traffic for the network to keep up with. Support contacted me and did a remote look at all my Alveo settings. I don't know what was changed, but it has helped some.
