Thanks for sharing these, Vilas.

It's not easy to make a difficult topic understandable and entertaining at the same time.

Quantitative Easing Explained had me in stitches :-D

I enjoy the Disciplined Trader videos - there is a 4 min "drill" that comes out almost every week.

Here is a liink to one of the recent ones, dealing with bad habits and the effect of the subconscious on your trading decisions:

drchcoles

I'd put personal discipline at the top of the list of attributes essential to be a good trader. Coupled with lot size management trading can be a lot of fun.

Actually, those videos are uncomfortably prescient. Just what will we do when all the deflated fiat currencies and massive debt that has been shouldered on to our unborn has to be faced. As Paul Tudor Jones said about the '87 crash: It'll be rock-n-roll baby. Pure rock-n-roll.And how will all the currency pairs crash at once? Head for the countries ensconced mountains with button-down bankers and Zurich shoes. Or moats around them. I.e., long the SF JY and Ozzie.

mattrey

Thanks ,these are great.

"Gold is Money: Everything else is Credit." - J.P. Morgan

"Some regard it as a metal, we regard it as a currency and it remains our largest currency allocation" - Stanley Druckenmiller 5/5/16

Donald Trump may have given us all hint of the future when he explained that the United States will never default on the debt because they can always (and WILL) print the money to pay.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/05/09/politics/donald-trump-national-debt-strategy/

The effects of a major cyclical deflationary debt spiral not-withstanding, (money printing) has historically (eventually) always lead to vastly depreciated currencies in real terms (I.E. real goods, commodities, real estate, gold/silver, wages, etc)

Jim Rickards, Jim Sinclair, Eric Sprott and many more, much smarter people then myself believe that is the most likely scenario going forward.

Personally I have been accumulating junior gold/silver miners with strong balance sheets in safe countries since 2012 in anticipation of just such an occurrence with an eye to a leveraged bet on gold prices over the next decade without eventual risk of potential confiscation. (Not recommending this trade. Please don't ask)

Despite the retracement in gold spot futures over the past few years, all the fundamentals for the resumption of a universal (all fiat currencies) bull market in precious metals (as well as all other hard assets) remain in place. No one credible, myself included can claim to predict future events or a timetable. Nevertheless, I believe history and context point to some sort of mass global devaluation as governments are forced to print money to meet outsized, unsustainable future financial obligations.

Just my 2 cents...

P.S. I'd like to end with a quote from my favorite hedge fund manager:

"If You Don't Own Gold, You Know Neither History Nor Economics" - Ray Dalio

~Have a good weekend Hive

Ramesh

If Trump decides to print money to pay debts, he will convert USA to another Chile, Greece or Argentina. USA has dangerously crippled its capacity to manufacture any consumer goods. All dollar store items are going to be 10-20 times expensive.
We are living in a highly interdependent society where no country can afford to act unilaterally. Beggars and creditors are not choosers. USA has converted from greatest creditor country to greatest debtor country and that is really scary.

It is interesting to see that all world politics and economics gets reflected in its daily i currency moves.

Do you have any videos on how to place a short stop loss and take profit
and a buy stop loss and take profit and how to set a limit on each.
I have been looking for these on YouTube and they are all in MetaTrader4
which is okay.Unfortunately,ApiaryFund does not have any videos explaining
how to do all that. They just assume you can do it effectively.
This one in particular I like but do you know any others ?

@ Vilas - are there any new videos on the more recent summits? These are really useful ( the ones that are available) and would be a good addition to the toolbox.

Crystal

The discussion library goes back as far as 9/2016 (not sure if its different for everyone else?) I wish I had access to the older stuff... I always seem to get good discussions that have follow videos that I can't access..Example https://apiaryfund.com/training/discussion/merry-xmast-jeff-how-build-pl... This is the "How to create a Trading Playbook" and at the end of that 2 hr discussion they talk about a part II that continues into Money management. I realize that topics like this repeat, but for I really wish we had access to the entire library....

Thank Vilas and felloiw bees for your awesome contributions! From down here I feel like I'm standing on earth any all of those above me have vacated to heaven ;)

Some of my favorite video links:

This lady is great! She has her feet squarely on the ground and has a wonderful perspective on life. She also has a razor sharp sense of humor:

This guy has a scratchy voice but he is a top class trader. His pattern reading skills draws out the very heart and soul of the market. What I enjoy most is that he is Hyper Selective in selecting FX pairs (A fellow bee shared this with me):

Thanks for the free resources they are very helpful. I also like the Bee Attitudes.

The Bee Attitudes
Bee Professional!
Bee Helpful!
Bee Thoughtful!
Bee Grateful!
Bee Successful!

It is refreshing to bee associated with people of like minds. People who value the thoughts and opinions of others. An environment where ideas are shared for the good of the community and the enrichment of all. This is the “Bee Attitude” that I have found in the Apiary Fund. This Bee Attitude makes the environment sweeter than honey. I want to thank my fellow workers for all the helpful input that makes the training fun and illuminating in these dark economic times. Someone once said that if you can learn something new every day then it is a good day, I have found that to be true with the Apiary Fund organization. I am looking forward to attending a national summit in the near future, it is my hope that I will be able to establish a greater professional connection with in the Fund organization.

Good Morning Bees,

Hope you find it useful.
