New to Apiary

Hey All,

I'm a new meber to Apiary Fund living in central NC.  I have been trading options and stocks for about 8 years.  I am more of a swing trader than a daytrader.  Trying to get up to speed on the currency world.  Any insight would be helpful.  I was wondering if most traders are sticking with one currency pair to trade or do you look for any setup available?

Hey Michael Welcome to the Hive :) A lot of good strategies and techniques available but, imho, what you use depends on the individual trader. Personally, I determine the Strength and weakness of individual currencies and then look to pit strongest against the weakest, so I trade all the available pairs

hope that helps and enjoy your journey

I like to stick with the most volatile pairs. The times you trade different pairs makes a difference too. My favorites are the EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY. The Euro and Pound are great during the New York open. Yen is a little better for the Asian session. All in all look for the best trending pair for whatever time you usually trade.
