TIME MANAGEMENT

MY TRADE STRATEGY HAS MORE TO DO WITH TIME MANAGEMENT FOR THOSE OF US WHO WORK, IN SCHOOL, OR BOTH. TIME MANAGEMENT IS EASIER SAID THAN DONE. SINCE I WORK 8 OR MORE HOURS A DAY MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, I COME TO REALIZE THE BEST TIME FOR ME TO TRADE IS DURING THE MORNING HOURS WHILE GETTING READY FOR WORK. I'M USUALLY MENTALY DRAINED AFTER WORK WHICH CONTRIBUTE TO MY LACK OF FOCUS. NOT TO MENTION, OTHER DAILY ACTIVITES LIKE EXCERSICE OR RUNNING ERRANDS. WHAT KEEPS ME GOING IS THE IDEA OF NOT WORKING THOSE LONG HOURS AND MAKING DAY TRADING MY PRIMARY SOURCE OF INCOME. SO, RATHER IT BE A STRATEGY OR JUST PURE MOTIVATION, I WOULD SAY STAY THE COURSE. DON'T GIVE UP, AND FIND YOUR OWN TIME MANAGEMENT SWEET SPOT THAT WILL ALLOW YOU TO LEARN AND TRADE.

GOOD LUCK

Fully agree, My hours are all over the place so my "trading" time is also at all different times. I use to beat myself up for not following a strict daily task list, so now it is softer accountability but still on track. With the family now running on autopilot, lol, I have no excuses but to succeed, with an honest time management approach. Goals are weekly, monthly and annual instead of daily, etc. the way I used to have them for many years. Emotion plays such a huge part in trading daily, unlike passive trading or employment, where you can detach. I have always used the "Pomodoro Technique" throughout the day, what I do now just before I beginning a trading session is to do a 25 min Pomodoro of nothing related to trading so my mind is clear - so far it seems to help with focus after work.
