Your best screen set up for lap top?

I travel quite a bit and take my laptop with me on the road. At home I have a large wall monitor I use for my display. I typically have 6 charts up and the order chart. I have taken off most of the tools/variables but the charts are difficult to watch on the small laptop. Anyone have a suggestion to be able to watch 5 or 6 screens and the order chart. I do the order chart so I can quickly close out the trade if I am scalping. Appreciate your feedback.

I would tile the screens and then Maximize the window I wanted to analyze. personally I just have one window open at a time. guess I'm old school

One idea, but it depends on your equipment. I have a device called Apple TV. I can mirror my MacBook Air to use my large screen TV as a display device. I'm running Alveo on a WinBook tablet which I bought for $60 on sale. I access it from my MacBook Air using TeamViewer.

If there's a similar device for mirroring your display to a large flat-panel TV then you might could try something along those lines, while cutting out the added layer of the tablet and TeamViewer.

Of course, the scenario I'm envisioning involves trading from, say, a hotel room. If you are trading from a laptop while traveling around in your limousine or yacht, then all bets are off.

Limousine or yacht, I like it!

I too travel 2 to 3 weeks a month. Sometimes I carry an extra monitor about the same size as my laptop. I also always carry an HDMI cable to connect to an available HD tv. Otherwise I'm trimmed to 3 charts with my 3 TFs and have to scan the pairs.

@mkelley hey I just noticed you're a fellow Missourian. Looks like a nice old tom turkey there. Or is it two?

Brianj and MKelley , Hello from Missouri!

C517.... I do the tile as you mention but when I enlarge a screen to trade off of, it takes that screen out of the tile and then I have to reload the template.. suggestions?

Hey fellow Missourians thats good to know!

@brianj2
That is two birds. Both at least two years old. I've been hunting them since 1975 and quite successfully. On that particular occasion I received a paid for guided hunt in Kansas from and with a good friend. My first and only guided hunt. It would have been worth it even if I'd had to pay!

@mkelley that is cool. I saw a group of about 9 wild turkeys earlier in the spring over in Johnson County, MO. One tom and the rest hens. He ran on one side of the road and let them all run the other side.

@Marubozu1 - hey Missouri how's it going? Nice meeting you!

mkelley and brianj2,
My dog just scared up a flock (is it flock for turkeys) of juvenile turkeys being babysat by a couple of hens. They show up in our back field every year about this time and without fail, scares the bejesus out of the dog when they flush. I'm in central PA where turkey hunting comes in a close second to deer hunting.

LaG and Marubozu,
Here's a screen shot of my laptop configuration. Hope it helps somehow.

Thank you all for sharing above!

ROR4PSU,

That screen shot of your laptop is awesome! Thanks for sharing!

I like that screen set up as well and your chart settings are very close to one of mine. I prefer Fib numbers on nearly all of my MA period settings.

As far as hunting goes, spring turkey hunting is my favorite followed by bow hunting with a long bow. After that any hunt will do.

Spring gobbler in PA creates a true dilemma for outdoorsmen and women. Do I go after gobblers or trout on Opening Day? Tough choices, I know. However, only being a fisherman, my choice is clear. I truly respect a hunter using arrows, especially a long bow. I'll bet that's really challenging.

404 error can you repost please?

With your travel and motel stays inexpensive is take an extra HDMI cable with you. Reason being most hotels have newer model TV's AND I bet being newer they also have an HDMI input on them. Now you have two screens and one will be huge. Sorry I should have prefaced that with IF your laptop has an HDMI output on it.

Good advice rcneefe. There's a fair bit of "casting" tech out there now for sending phone and laptop screens to nearby sets with a usb port, and bluetooth, or smart TVs better still.

Thanks rcneefe for the info! My laptop has an HDMI output port. I will definitely take advantage of it from now on!
